Annabel Gutherz Shares Acoustic Cover Of “Life On Mars”

Annabel Gutherz has released her cover of David Bowie's eccentric "Life on Mars." Celebrating the legacy of David Bowie.

Singer/songwriter Annabel Gutherz has shared her acoustic rendition of the classic David Bowie song, “Life on Mars.”

Featuring the talented guitarist Kevin Girouard with production and cinematography by Nomad Media and Tom McNamara. Annabel Gutherz’s cover of “Life on Mars” is a beautiful take on the classic Bowie track, bringing the tune a breath of fresh air while sticking close to the emotions presented within Bowie’s starry original.

The backdrop of an endless field of sunflowers is both breathtaking and helps to elevate Annabel’s sensational cover. A beautiful sight for the eyes to go along with a beautiful voice for the ears.

My interpretation of the rich narrative conveyed through Bowie’s abstract and surreal lyricism is one of sadness, longing, and hope, with a commentary about society and the media that still rings true today. I love the emotional dimensionality of the story being told, the melody, the production… everything! I hope to honor Bowie, one of the most prolific artists of our time, and his lasting legacy with this cover.
