Still from Ace Enders' visualizer for their new single, "Wide Awake."

Ace Enders Reflects Inwards With His New Single, “Wide Awake”

Ace Enders is looking through the dark times with the release of his latest single, "Wide Awake."

Ace Enders is back yet again with another thought-provoking single in the form of “Wide Awake.” Following the drop of both “Damaged Goods” and “Heavy,” this new single takes listeners for a ride through the darkness as Ace reflects on the dark times while finding clarity in the madness.

Featuring on his upcoming album, Posture Syndrome, which is expected to drop on October 31 via Pure Noise Records, is a simple vibe that will have listeners reflecting on their own unique journeys through life, hoping to be a small light in the tunnel where nowadays everything feels so much more.

When it comes to the topic of “Wide Awake,” Ace shares, “This song begins with sleepless nights—lying awake, restless, and anxious. I started to drink a lot heavier at this point in my life, not proud of it, but I guess I needed it to write this. The lyric “replacing windows with bars” pretty much sums it up. That’s also the turning point, and as it unfolds, it shifts. Slowly, the darkness makes way for light, and the anxiety becomes anticipation. By the end, it’s no longer about being trapped by thoughts but about waking up wide awake with something to look forward to.”

Ace Enders’ latest single is a phenomenal listen. I do recommend finding a comfortable listening spot, throwing on your favorite pair of headphones, and just letting Ace’s voice and the lyrics wash over your senses completely, and look deep inside to see what your journey with “Wide Awake” ends up becoming. Mine ended up becoming personable, gratifying, and had me come face-to-face with the good that has shown its colors from time-to-time.

“Wide Awake” can be streamed across your streaming platform of choice now. Also, if you’d like to catch Ace Enders performing live, he will be hitting the road alongside The Spill Canvas and Mae on select dates beginning October 15. More information on tour dates and ticket availability can be found on the official Ace Enders website.
