Beth McKenzie Drops Powerful Video For Latest Single “Inside Out”

Beth McKenzie brings her latest single, "Inside Out" to life in a powerful new music video.

Beth McKenzie has shared a new, powerful music video for her latest single, “Inside Out,” before the release of her upcoming debut EP, Does This Make Me A Bitter Woman? “Inside Out” setting itself up as the final single from the upcoming November 15 release.

On the single and music video itself, Beth McKenzie shares, “‘Inside Out” was written about the aftermath of a sexual assault & the way I felt betrayed by multiple people throughout the investigations that took place in the week that followed.”

“For this reason, the majority of the video is set in an interrogation room. I knew immediately that this is what I wanted, it perfectly represents what happened, the mistreatment I felt from the people around me & the resulting internal conflict. This project was really difficult for me – even before the day we shot it. I was revisiting events and emotions I hadn’t in a while & it definitely took a toll on my mental health. I chose to write and create everything around it, so in a way, the whole experience has been empowering.”

Beth McKenzie also explained that though “Inside Out” is important to her, it’s also purposely metaphorical, leaving the inner weaving of the track’s heartfelt lyrics and tone up to interpretation.

Once again, Beth McKenzie’s upcoming debut EP, Does This Make Me A Bitter Woman? drops on November 15 featuring “Inside Out,” and can be pre-saved now.
