REVIEW: Eric Nam’s “Miss Me More” Is The Perfect Medicine For A Broken Heart

Eric Nam's new pre-release single, "Miss Me More" explores the complex colors of a broken heart after a break up.

Following the release of “How The Fire Started,” Eric Nam is back with the lead pre-release single for his upcoming album, Confessions of a Lonely Heart, titled, “Miss Me More.” The upcoming album, expected October 2, 2026, will showcase a vulnerable Eric Nam sporting his heart on his sleeve as he recounts personal stories and experiences throughout his life.

“Miss Me More” provides just a taste of those experiences, quickly becoming a heart break anthem among listeners. A tale of self-reflection and the attachments that break when having to say goodbye. An emotional experience that’s uniquely Eric Nam and should provide a sea of tears during his intimate show run later this year.

But, when it comes to these experiences, just how clear cut does Eric’s latest pre-release single truly let listeners in? How authentic are the feelings and themes on display? Let’s find out.

Like a direct continuation of his previous album, House on a Hill, “Miss Me More” filters Eric Nam’s emotions beautifully, interweaving the soul crushing lyrics of a broken heart on the side of the highway with a dazzling display in the form of the track’s danceable instrumentation. If anything, Eric continues to prove he can make the saddest songs possible into the best dance hall flairs all in one package.

“Miss Me More” quickly found its spot alongside my personal favorites from Eric’s extensive catalog; “I Wish I Wasn’t Me” and “Don’t Leave Yet.” With sharpshooter lyrics and a poise for emotional wall-breaking, Eric Nam continues to not miss the mark on letting his fans into his vulnerable heart, with the hopes of providing a relatable home for those broken to find a peaceful place to rest and realize that indeed, “someone understands.”

With lyrics such as, “Two hearts don’t ever break the same/Someone’s always leaving with nothing,” is purely like a punch to the gut. Sometime’s a breakup can be rough, sometimes saying goodbye isn’t easy and “Miss Me More” paints all of these emotional struggles in a beautiful light that had me hitting replay, almost on a constant loop.

I can already picture this one being sung loud and proud during late night drives, through broken tears, and right back at Eric Nam himself when the sea of fans hits him back with his own taste of relatable medicine as he’s confronted face-to-face with his own words. A beautiful exchange I hope I get to witness.

Just like the title of this review suggests, Eric Nam’s latest release is the perfect medicine for a broken heart. The relatable touches, the haunting vocal delivery, and the dance hall vibes all together creating a long-lasting experience that will have listeners getting lost across multiple replays. “Miss Me More” is a beautiful take on the bad side of a heart break, the side that is filled with attachment, longing, and late nights. A beautiful broken masterpiece.

“Miss Me More” can be streamed now across your favorite streaming platforms. Pre-orders for Eric Nam’s upcoming studio album, Confessions of a Lonely Heart are currently available in a variety of options.

Ahead of the release of his upcoming album, Eric Nam will also be performing in New York City on September 9 and 10 alongside a couple of shows in Los Angeles on September 17 and 18. These shows are intimate and will sell out fast.
