Sametime is letting listeners into their personal diary entries with the release of their latest, emotional single, “Is This The End?” Building upon the duos’ emotional cues and soaring instrumentation, “Is This The End?” continues to pave the way for the brothers’ upcoming EP, Get Out Whilst You Can.
“Is This The End?” itself is a beautiful, somber experience that had me committed within seconds of the lightly played guitar, filling my head with my own memories and experiences of stepping into the vast world of the unknown. Sametime continue to prove themselves master storytellers within their music, and their latest single further paves the way for a bright future.
On the topic of their latest single, Tim Aitken shares, “This song is the most personal song we have. It’s about when we first moved to the other side of the world, away from everything we’ve ever known. The song is more of a diary entry of everything going through our heads. It’s about coming to terms with sacrificing time with our friends and family, knowing it was potentially the last time we’d see some of them.”
“Is This The End?” will feature on the duo’s upcoming EP, Get Out Whilst You Can, which is looking at a February 13 release and will also feature their inspirational tune, “The Truman Show,” and my personal favorite, “I Don’t Know Much,” amongst others.
