Ahead of their upcoming third studio album, It’s A Joy To Be Alive, Ferris & Sylvester are opening the vulnerability gates a little more with their new single, “Jealous.” We all know the feeling of being jealous; it’s pointless, takes over our anxiety, and keeps us up at night and it’s these exact themes that Ferris & Sylvester capture perfectly in their latest release.
This country-pop duo has been finding their spotlight grow throughout 2026 and “Jealous” continues this trend as the duo paints their words with ease in relatable fashion for listeners that makes it easy to gravitate towards, and the soft-subtle spoken melodies tickle the senses in a way that kept me coming back for more.
On the single itself, Archie Sylvester shares, “In its original form, “Jealous” was conjured up by Issy when she was 17, about the cool kids at school. Over ten years later, we realized it still had deep meaning in our lives as adults. We had to work on it. It’s exciting to face the “uglier” parts of ourselves in our writing. So much strength can come from it. This is for the kids, teens, adults, elderly folk, any human being who has felt inadequate standing next to someone else. It’s time we embraced it.”
“Jealous” is available across streaming platforms now, with the duo’s upcoming album, It’s A Joy To Be Alive, arriving August 14 via Archtop Records with pre-orders for the upcoming album happening now in a variety of cute bundles.
