Cassadee Pope Slams With Pop-Punk Return: “People That I Love Leave”

Cassadee Pope returns from her pop-punk hiatus with her latest single, "People That I Love Leave," and a flashy new lyric video.

GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope is ready to step back into the pop-punk spotlight with the release of her new single, “People That I Love Leave.”

Her new single is full of high energy, a catchy chorus, and everything you loved about the artist when she was jumping around with her former pop-punk group, Hey Monday. To celebrate the release of her new single, Cassadee Pope also dropped an accompanying lyric video that will continue to get your hearts racing.

While talking about her new single, Cassadee Pope shared that her latest release “describes the difficulties of letting someone love you when you’ve been hurt in the past. The idea came from my current relationship and how it sometimes scares me that I have something so beautiful and loving. How I can’t help but wait for the other shoe to drop because of past traumas.”

Not much else is known about whether “People That I Love Leave” is a one-off return to her home genre or if the singer-songwriter will be playing in this playground of sound for a bit longer.
