Still from Lights' "COME GET YOUR GIRL" music video.

Lights Packs On Nostalgia With “COME GET YOUR GIRL”

Lights has the internet reminiscing with her music video for latest single, "COME GET YOUR GIRL."

Lights continues to bring one of her best albums, A6, to life, and with a fresh version in the form of A6EXTENDED dropping this Friday, January 30, it proved to be the perfect time for this pure MySpace icon to bring the past back to the present with her latest single, “COME GET YOUR GIRL.”

The single itself is an amazing listening experience, as I found myself once again getting lost in the world formed through the track’s fresh storytelling elements, which have always proven to be a strong suit when it comes to thematic Lights bangers. But the real beauty of the experience shines when giving a watch to the flashback music video for “COME GET YOUR GIRL,” as Lights has each era of herself on full display, sending me back to my first MySpace listening, where songs like “The Last Thing on My Mind” would fuel my late-night high school memories.

On a simple social media post, Lights promotes the new video while sharing, “Here’s your sign to pay respects to your past versions. They walked so you could run,” and that paints this new music video and single perfectly. Directed and edited by Lights, shot and colored by Beau Bokan, with production assistance provided by Warwick Hughes. Guaranteed, I’ll be re-watching this video throughout the day as I forward it to everyone I know.

Lights’ upcoming extended edition of A6 featuring “COME GET YOUR GIRL” releases January 30, with a physical vinyl release still being available for purchase with a chance of a signed copy.

You can also catch Lights hitting the road on the 2026 Come Get Your Girl Tour, kicking off on February 13 in Edmonton, AB. Further ticketing information and tour dates can be found on the official website for the upcoming tour.
