The Rose Bid An Emotional “Seeya Later” Ahead Of Hiatus With New Single, “Blue Moon”

The Rose are going for our heartstrings with their emotional new single, "Blue Moon" ahead of their upcoming planned hiatus.

The Rose flooded the internet last week with the emotional news that they would be going on a planned hiatus after a “final” tour and the release of their upcoming album, ROSE. Black Roses worldwide now get their first listen of that upcoming album through the band’s new somber single, “Blue Moon.”

With the simple caption, “For you, our dear black roses,” The Rose’s current, final lead single rips open the wounds that come with having to say “seeya later.” The new single is a wonderful message to their longtime and very dedicated fanbase, myself included, that had me reaching for the tissue box as a wave of emotions washed over my psyche. It’s a powerful song that cements the band’s message that their hiatus isn’t a full-fledged goodbye. But, still a very emotional send-off.

The Rose will embark on their ROSETOPIA world tour beginning June 5 at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden with stops in Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Berlin before wrapping up on June 30 at London’s Eventim Apollo. Ticketing onsale date is April 17 at 4 PM local time (North America) and the same date, but 10 AM local time for both Mexico/Brazil and EU/UK.

The upcoming ROSETOPIA tour is shaping up to be an emotional journey that should see the bond between the members of The Rose and their Black Rose fanbase grow even further, even if just the chance at a “goodbye for now.”

The Rose’s latest single, “Blue Moon,” is now available to stream across all streaming services. No date has been announced for the band’s upcoming album, ROSE.
