Quarters Rock Into The New Year With Dual Singles, “HEADLIGHT” & “PERFECT WORD”

Quarters is starting the year off strong with double singles, "HEADLIGHT" and "PERFECT WORD."

New York City rockers Quarters are rolling right into 2026 with their ambitions fully on display with the release of their dual singles, “HEADLIGHT” and “PERFECT WORD.” Following the release of their 2025 double singles “STAR” and “PLUMMET,” this new drop is yet another taste for fans ahead of their upcoming third studio album. Continuing this talented band’s rise to the top.

On the topic of “HEADLIGHT,” guitarist Jasper Harris shares, “Even though this album-making process has been two years long, ‘HEADLIGHT’ came together very quickly and recently. Our tour came to an end, and we just felt like there was more gas in the tank to write with – so that is exactly what we did. It was fun to create something raw and not worry so much about over-editing it. It was the perfect way to end the writing cycle.”

Following Jasper’s lead, vocalist Ben Roter adds, “At its core, the song is about watching someone you love drift where you can’t go…….And wrestling with the guilt of not following them.”

From the week I spent listening to both “HEADLIGHT” and “PERFECT WORD,” I can say that the themes and feelings present throughout both singles continue the band’s raw nature and realistic take on these subjects. Listeners should have zero issue jumping right in and feeling even just a little of the emotion poured into both of these singles.

If you’re itching for a good time and the possibility of hearing both these unique singles live, Quarters will embark on a North American tour kicking off in March with support from such artists as Porch Light, Charlie Burg, Telescreens, and more. The biggest show of the tour will be a double outing at Irving Plaza in NYC on April 17 & 18.

With each new single release, we inch closer to the release of Quarters’ upcoming album. But, until then, you can continue to stream the latest wave of singles on your streaming platform of choice.
