The “King of K-pop,” G-Dragon, has had one killer comeback so far! From the release of his third studio album, Übermensch, to a sold-out world tour. Things are looking amazing in the world of G-Dragon, and FAM were out in droves to celebrate with the man himself during his 2-night takeover of Los Angeles’ Crypto Arena for the final North American stops on his 2025 Übermensch World Tour.
I made my way out to Crypto Arena decently early, with fear of catching horrible LA traffic on my mid-afternoon adventure, and it ended up working out perfectly. I quickly found parking about a short walk away from the venue, and fell in awe at just how many FAM were out adventuring themselves. A sea of smiling faces all here to celebrate the living legend himself.
The G-Dragon crew helping out during Night 2 also happened to be some of the nicest people from the merch booth to the “lightstick help” zone. Just so much positivity, it helped set the mood for the entire night. I, of course, also can’t forget all the amazing people I talked to during the day, just waiting to get into the venue.
So many fantastic fans sharing stories of their love for BIG BANG and G-Dragon. The excitement from those who were there to witness the energy for the first time, to those who have been lucky enough to experience this all before. It was all so infectious and further cemented my love for the fandom and the artist himself.

It didn’t take long for the evening to lead us to our seats, where eager fans could be seen taking pictures with G-Dragon’s light stick, continuing to share stories, and just overall glee. The atmosphere within Crypto Arena would continue to build before too long, the screens would flash to the performance’s intro ment, the lights would go dark, and G-Dragon would be before our eyes looking down upon his court.
Jumping quickly into “POWER,” a personal favorite of mine, G-Dragon commanded the stage like a true veteran, showcasing his sassy personality and giving FAM what they were there for. I can comfortably say from all the K-pop-related concerts I have attended thus far, G-Dragon’s lead with “POWER” was the loudest pop I have heard. A sea of cheering and lights throughout the venue created one of the most memorable scenes of the night for me.
“HOME SWEET HOME” and “MichiGO” would continue the warpath G-Dragon had set upon the sold-out venue, as his talented dancers and performing band themselves would fuel the support needed to carry on the night’s energy.

G-Dragon, throughout the night, would egg on the venue through a variety of cheer battles, in which I’d like to say my side of the venue would be undefeated. But it’s the constant love he would show his fan base throughout the night that should have those still sitting on the fence when it comes to G-Dragon hopping over and joining the party. This is a performer who loves what he does and loves the fans with his whole being.
The conversation would go on to mention how much he enjoyed performing at 2025’s Head in the Clouds festival back at the beginning of summer, and that he just knew he had to come back to Los Angeles. The crowd would erupt with dancing, cheers, and screams once more as G-Dragon would hit us with “ONE OF A KIND” and the clear fan-favorite “CRAYON” as the venue completely lost themselves.
I also have to give a round of applause for the creative director and the many others who worked on G-Dragon’s Übermensch World Tour, as each ment felt unique, on-theme, and pushed the envelope with each song G-Dragon would drop on the gauntlet. Everything about the night’s performance was well calculated, put together piece by piece in wonderful fashion, and felt like a complete invitation to come play in GD’s world.

G-Dragon would continue to power through “BONAMANA,” “I Love It,” and “Today,” to name just a few songs out of his staggering 21-song setlist. I’ve been to concerts where the artist or band would play roughly the same number of songs, and we’d be out in a heartbeat. Not at a G-Dragon show though! At a G-Dragon show, there’s, of course, the music! But also storytime with GD and the beautiful interactions he has with his fan base each time he would go from the stage towards the crowd for photos, closeups, and just being in the same aura.
Once again, it’s the way G-Dragon approaches his fans that helps him stand out so much. He doesn’t see himself as above anyone. It’s the understanding of a rising ship that pushes his songs further, his fan base deeper, and his love for his craft harder.
G-Dragon would spend a good portion of the night, as he has each night of the Übermensch World Tour, hyping up the VIP in the crowd for 2026. What’s in 2026? Well, for those of you just tuning in, 2026 will be the 20th anniversary of BIG BANG, and the group will celebrate with their own world tour, with G-Dragon not being a stranger when it comes to dropping details and sharing how much he’s looking forward to being with his “brothers.”

Another fun highlight aside from being absolutely fired up and on the BIG BANG 2026 hype train was G-Dragon’s performance of “Heartbreaker,” which featured a virtual performance with WING, continuing the champion beatboxer’s addition to the tour itself. And how could one not enjoy “Bullshit” with its interpolations of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us?”
The bottom half of G-Dragon’s epic setlist constantly proved to be a beast in and of itself, with the “King of K-pop” continuing to flash his smile, wave, and just chat with the crowd. The entirety of G-Dragon’s night 2 at Crypto Arena felt like one giant party filled with friends and family all coming together to show true love and support.
Having talked with so many outside prior to the show, I was hearing stories from passerbys on how G-Dragon’s music helped them through hard times, and made them feel seen and supported. It’s these things through the power of music that truly help an artist shine, and I know G-Dragon felt the love the entire night.
Especially, from the “rich” fan who has apparently been going to a fair share of the Übermensch World Tour stops. Which GD once again would call out in a true playful manner.

Within all of the amazing fan interaction, G-Dragon would power through “TAKE ME,” and “TOO BAD” before sending everyone off unofficially with an amazing performance of “DRAMA.” GD would quickly disappear from view, and the house lights of Crypto Arena would turn on, attempting to trick whoever they could into believing the show was over.
But, as FAM and veteran concertgoers know better, cheers for G-Dragon would continue as the beautiful, bright glare of light sticks could be seen weaving in and out of the sea of concertgoers, mimicking perfectly late-night drives through the busy streets of Los Angeles. While waiting for what felt like a lifetime for G-Dragon to hit the stage again, I took in the love overpowering throughout the venue, cementing the short moments I had with FAM into my memory banks.
Just like that, the lights would darken once more, and G-Dragon and his talented backing band would put on one of the best covers I have heard of the Elvis Presley classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which had me held like a vice grip.
The night would continue to its end with “This Love,” a semi-cover by pop-rock band Maroon 5, “IBELONGIIU,” and “GYRO-DROP,” which would give the backing band even more time to shine, to express and showcase their skillset. And, just like that, G-Dragon would finish the night with a beautiful performance of “Untitled, 2014,” before sending us all back into the brisk light-filled city night.

I don’t know how night 1 went, but I can only imagine just as good. But I know night 2 of G-Dragon’s Crypto Arena takeover was truly something special and magical. From the fans, a playful atmosphere, to G-Dragon himself and the music he’s cultivated over the years.
The Übermensch World Tour is not a concert performance I will ever forget, and could go down as one of the best concerts I’ve had the pleasure of attending. And a big thank you to other FAM members for welcoming me into your space; you all were just as great as the living legend himself.
While G-Dragon’s 2025 Übermensch World Tour might be over in North America. The fun and experiences aren’t stopping yet! G-Dragon will wrap up his world tour with an amazing performance on September 20 at the Paris La Défense Arena in Paris, France. So, if you already have your tickets, have an AMAZING time! If you don’t and are still holding out, unfortunately, the show is completely sold out.
