SEVENTEEN World Tour [NEW_] Review: SEVENTEEN & CARATS Bring The Shine To BMO Stadium During Night 1

SEVENTEEN brings the heat to Carats during night 1 of their BMO Stadium party during their '[NEW_] World Tour' stop in Los Angeles.

First things first, happy burstday to SEVENTEEN, who have been having a sensational 2025 so far. From releasing their 5th studio album, Happy Burstday, which celebrated their 10th anniversary, to being nominated in a variety of categories for the 2025 MAMA Awards. You have to be feeling pretty great if you’re a member of SEVENTEEN right about now. And what better way to continue to celebrate your 10th anniversary than with a takeover of BMO Stadium in Los Angeles during the group’s 2025 [NEW_] World Tour.

I started my trek to Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium decently early, as I didn’t want to become a statistic in the horror stories of oversold parking situations that tend to occur during shows at the venue. So, I loaded up my SEVENTEEN playlist and partied my way towards the venue in full-blown sing-along mode. Thankfully, parking ended up being fine, and I quickly found myself eyeing the merch booth for potential goodies while overhearing the outpouring support the group has amongst their CARATS.

After hanging around the VIP/floor section of BMO Stadium, I happily walked to the opposite side of the venue, where I found the complete opposite of a well-oiled machine. Fans were all high-energy and good-spirited. But, there was a decent lack of official venue staff present, which made everything seem like an initial free-for-all. Not a good look for BMO Stadium.

However, as I mentioned, everyone else was so incredibly nice, as freebies were handed out, stories were shared, and the vibes coming off the SEVENTEEN fanbase were amazing. I instantly felt welcomed, included, and not one person looked down on me for being a “newer” fan. My experience among other CARATS was nothing short of amazing and instantly set the tone for the concert itself.

After waiting a few hours, it was finally time to head into the venue itself, where we would wait another few hours. But, time from that point on would become a blur, as with the infectious high-energy spirits of the fans building up throughout the venue, showtime itself would be just around the corner, as I took in the sights of fans filming content on the floor, friends taking photos to remember the night, and just so much excitement from start to finish.

As 7:30 PM rolled around, the venue’s house lights would go dark, and “Bad Influence” would fill BMO Stadium as SEVENTEEN would appear alongside their incredibly talented dancers for the night, CARAT BONGS lit up the venue, and the group would waste no time jumping right into “HBD,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Jumping from “HBD” into “Thunder” and “Domino,” SEVENTEEN would prove their spot in the sun, transforming the entirety of BMO Stadium into a full-blown dance party as fans danced their hearts away, screamed through the pain shooting into their lungs, and just took in the moment alongside the group’s members. It was all so infectious that I even danced my feet off in my seat.

The energy throughout night 1 of SEVENTEEN’s [NEW_] World Tour takeover of Los Angeles was everything I wanted it to be and more. The group’s vocal delivery during “Domino” absolutely sent me, and I right away knew even further just how special a show this was going to be.

Another thing that made the show special was the fact that each member present for the show got to uniquely perform their solo stages that featured their songs from their Happy Burstday album.

Things started amazingly with Dino’s “Trigger,” which had the stadium up on their feet dancing along, quickly becoming a fan favorite of the night, which led into a fun standoff between Dino and Jun before the latter jumped right into an amazing performance of “Gemini,” which became one of my favorite parts of the whole show.

Jun would leave the stage, making way for Vernon to shred his guitar during a blow-out performance of his somber tune, “Shining Star,” which had the crowd singing along beautifully with chants of “we love you Vernon” ringing out behind me.

A variety of ments would feature throughout the night’s performance, stringing together a small storyline, piecing together each key moment of SEVENTEEN’S showcase. But, it wasn’t long before the guys would hit the stage once again for an amazing display of energy and passion as they brought “SOS” alive, shining bright with an outstanding showing of pyro, crowd interaction, and their own insane dedication to bringing their all to the stage.

When I say SEVENTEEN loves their fans, there are no lies detected. The amount of crowd interaction on display throughout the more than 2-hour performance was clear as day; these guys truly love what they do, and they give back to their fan base in their own way, jumping down into the crowd for selfies, waving, flashing smiles, and actually taking the time to read the signs that fans put together. This type of connection is special.

The group would go on to perform “F*ck My Life,” and “Darl+ing,” to name a few, before the show moved back to the group’s solo stages. With Joshua up next, he would take fans into his peaceful world during “Fortunate Changes” as he sat atop a park bench, creating a breathtaking atmosphere that would continue with DK’s “Happy Virus,” which continued to bring the stadium alive as he took in the sights performing from one end of the stage to the other.

Seungkwan would develop an emotional bubble with his song “Raindrops,” which was both beautiful and one of the most amazing songs I’ve experienced live, moving himself to tears. The high energy would kick back into full gear, however, as The8 would command the audience with a riveting performance of “Skyfall,” which felt like an adrenaline shot.

The adrenaline shot would continue to flow throughout the chilled night as Mingyu would keep the fire in the audience going with “Shake It Off,” which had the crowd once again having an all-out dance floor party. Finishing up would be S.Coups, who would transform BMO Stadium into a madhouse with “Jungle”, which rocked the entire venue to its bones. Each artist’s unique solo stage showcased their individual personalities, strengths, and allowed them one-on-one time with CARATS, who could not be happier to see their guys shine like never before.

And if you want to talk about how crazy a SEVENTEEN show can be? All I have to present is “HOT,” which the group pushed out everything they had for this one. Everything about this song’s performance was insane and probably contained the most screams from the crowd the entire night. It was just a masterclass in how to bring a song to life.

SEVENTEEN would also bring “HIGHLIGHT,” “HIT,” and “Rock With You” to life before walking off the stage, bidding the crowd “goodbye,” which resulted in a sea of cheers and screams for them to come back, with the group joking prior about putting together an 8-hour concert once the remaining members of SEVENTEEN returned.

The “waiting” period before the group’s encore was filled with so many carefree vibes that it lifted my spirits even higher into the brisk Los Angeles night sky as I lost myself in the animation of Bongbongie as cameras filmed through the crowd looking for the best dancers, best vibes, and overall just everyday people enjoying the community they all have built together. I loved this portion of the show most of all because it continued to showcase the unconditional love CARAT has for the members of SEVENTEEN and its special, beautiful, and shines bright.

The group would answer the call of their fans and come back onto the stage, where they would board multiple parade-style floats that the crew would walk around the entire stadium while they performed “A-Teen,” “9-Teen” and “20” before coming back to the stage proper for an amazing and fan-driven performance of “Eyes on you.”

They would also showcase “5,4,3 (Pretty Woman),” “Fighting,” and “Our dawn is hotter than day,” to name a few more songs featured on their lengthy setlist, before bringing the show to a close with an extended performance of “VERY NICE” which got the crowd fired up as SEVENTEEN turned on the charm to max, creating a plethora of memories for their fans before sending them off back to the real world.

Night 1 of SEVENTEEN’s 2025 [NEW_] World Tour at BMO Stadium was a magical experience for me, connecting with other fans, hearing their stories, and their undying high energy levels when it comes to these artists. It was cathartic. I danced the entire night, sang at the top of my lungs, lost myself in the world created by the stage production, and just was in the moment. It’s a feeling I won’t take for granted, and to experience such a powerful milestone with SEVENTEEN was special. I personally cannot wait to experience another show put on by these masters of sound and dance and see just what they have planned for the future.

While night 1 of SEVENTEEN’s stay at BMO Stadium has come to a saddening end, there is still so much [NEW_] World Tour ahead! So, if you have yet to pick up your tickets for the remaining North American stops of their current tour, what are you waiting for? Pick up your tickets right now and give yourself an experience you will not forget.
